The students in Cadet College Gadap are inducted on the basis of quota as per PC-1. The bulk of seats are offered to the children of Karachi andsurroundings. Laid down quota is as under:

a.  Karachi – 30%

b.  Karachi(Surrounding Areas) – 20%

c.  Sukkur (Ghotki, Khairpur, Nausheroferoz)-10%

d.  Hyderabad/ Mirpur Khas (Tando Allah Yar, Sanghar, Badin, Matiari, Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Umar Kot, Tharparkar) – 20%

e.  Larkana (Kashmore/Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Jaccobabad, Qambar/ShahdadKot, Dadu)- 10%

f.  Other Provinces- 5%

g.  Son of Armed/Defence Forces- 5%




a.  Class-8th

(1) Candidate should be 7th Class passed or studying in 8th Class.

(2) Candidate should be between 12 and 14 years of age on 1st April in the year of admission. No waiver even of one day.

(3) Candidate must be medically fit.

b.  Intermediate-1st Year

(1) Candidate should be between 15 to 16 years of age on 1st July of   admission year. No waiver even of one day.

(2) Candidate should have passed Class X (Minimum 80%) on joining the College.

Note: Students waiting for result of Class Xmay appear on the basis of the result of IX class (with minimum 80% marks) and hope certificate from the Head of the institution of last school attended has to be submitted before test. His admission will be confirmed after the result of Class X

(3) Candidate must be medically fit.



Following procedure be adopted for submission of application:-

a. Application for admission must be submitted on the prescribed admission form attached to the prospectus. Prospectus can be obtained from Army Selection and Recruitment Centres as well as Cadet College Gadap by hand.


b. Entries in the application form must be filled with correct information. All entries will be verified. Any false information detected at later stage during the candidate’s stay at the College will be dealt with a disciplinary action / withdrawal, along with a fine of the payment of training charges during the period of stay.


c. The application form, duly filled in, should be sent directly to ‘CADET COLLEGE GADAP’ clearly marked on the top right corner “Admission for class VIII / XI (whichever is applicable).


d. Last date for the submission of application is advertised through newspapers.



The selection is based on the performance / grading of a candidate in the following:-

a.       Written Test

b.       Medical Examination at CMH MalirCantt

c.       Interview

d.       Final merit list by selection committee.



Written test will be conducted at MalirCantt.

Syllabus for Written Test

The test will be conducted from the subjects/syllabus as explained below:-

a.   Class-8th

Written test for Class-8th is taken from Sindh Text Book Board syllabus of Class-   7th in the following subjects:-

(1)       English.

(2)       Mathematics and General Science.

(3)        Urdu and Islamiyat (Pakistan Studies for non-Muslims)

(4) General Knowledge and Intelligence Test

b.   Intermediate (1st Year)

Written test for 1st Year is taken from Sindh Text Book Board syllabus of Classes 9th & 10th,(Distribution of Questions, 75% from SSC-II and 25% from SSC-I) in the subjects of  English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Urdu, General Knowledge and Intelligence Test.

Note: Result of Written Test is communicated only to the candidates who meet the requisite merit.


Candidates who qualify written test for admission are medically examined at CMH MalirCantt, Karachi.


Candidates who are cleared in medical test are called for Interview.


A candidate’s final selection is made on the overall merit achieved by him in Written Test and Interview, keeping in view the quota percentage and strength of each class.


a.  All dues are to be paid in advance through a bank draft in favour of ‘Cadet College Gadap’.

b.  Rates of fee for all categories are subject to revision from time to time.
